Please list the version number and make (VirtuaNES, FCE Ultra, ZSNES), etc., that you are using; that will aid us in helping you.

Hmm. Try downloading the SNES9X from this site, it sounds like you got a weird version, or something:
http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/snes/snes9x.html
Once you extract the emulator files to a folder, click the Snes9x.exe icon. The program will start, and the program will create its own ROMS folder. Exit SNES9X for now, and then take all your SNES ROMS and put them in this folder. Start the emulator again, and click on 'load game,' and choose the ROMS folder, and away you go.
Hope this helps. For what it's worth, ZSNES is a better SNES emulator, but hopefully this will work for you.

yea still gives me the same issue.. the old emulator i used was from this site so the format was still the same with the new one you linked me.. when i moved my roms to the "roms" folder created my the snes9x.exe and clicked to load them, all i saw was a white page. In all honesty i think these files are broken because pretty much all the games i play (ie NES, Intel, Atari) come in zip format and not just an application. Thanks for the help though, push comes to shove ill have to pull in the computer expert (bro) and have him slap my pc around for a while heh..

Oh, the games themselves aren't in .zip format? That's strange.
Have you tried downloading the SNES games from here on RomNation? They're in .zip format as far as I can remember. No, Snes9X certainly won't play games for you if they're not compressed folders.

znes is too wierd of a program; still have yet to figure that one out.. reminds me of my old CIS days back at DeVry.. but yea the snes games ive downloaded were from this site.. to name a few Dungeon Master, Chrono Trigger, Lufia, Secret of Mana, Breath of Fire, etc are all on application format programs.. which blows.. is there someone i can email to chat with about fixing these to zip files or are they permanent?

hmm doesnt seem to work.. says "C:\program files\7-zip\7z.exe is not a supported archive"... is there a specific place where i need to put these applications.. dont really have a ton of time to rip through this site and look for a topic that specifies on how to use 7-zip straight up.. otherwise i would.
