Hi peeps newbie here

downloaded a game called premier soccer for mame and tried to change the game controls using the TAB option but when i click on the up key for example then press up one the joypad nothing works Frown

does this mean i cant play this game with a joypad?

any help greatly appreciated

have you set up the game for gamepad use? right click the game's name in the menu and scroll down to properties for premier soccer
the properties box will appear- click the controllers tab
tick the the box that says enable joystick input
give that a go

for setting up the buttons, you press enter on up. then you press up on the joypad and the same for the rest.

i've got a similar problem....

assuming you guys we're talking about MAME 32 there, which i found quite simple to set up my joypad for (by ticking the box in game properties), but having now downloaded mame 0.118.2 there doesn't seem to be an equivalent option in this version.
no box to tick, nothing.

i downloaded a couple of front ends, but getting them to read the games from my mame > roms folder isnt working.

any ideas? Confused
