Nice work for the first sprites you tried.

IMO... Before you start doing too many sprites, you need to try to focus on one of them and try to make it as accurate as you can.
Which includes: Size of the sprite(Not changing from frame to frame), Positions...etc

Ken seems to be good... But you need to remove the BackGround color.
By the way, which program do you use for making those gifs?
For example, to remove those kinds of BackGrounds in those Gifs:
I use Magic Eraser Tool in Adobe ImageReady / The Flood Fill Tool in Animation Shop 3

What I mean is something like this:
The one of the left is yours and the one in the right is the same but I fixed the
position of the sprites in each frame so it don't move (Up..Down..Left..Right) while it's moving.

Not bad, but yeah, I have to agree with kart. It's hard using sprite sheets though, I do understand that, as I only had a mac for the longest time, and no emulators had the screen shot and remove layers thing.

You just have to do some more transparency, and position work. It takes a little bit more time, but the end product comes out looking a lot better.
