i know its a video game movie, but its one of those things that i pick out and is a little pet peeve of mine /shrug. But i did like sephiroth for a bit, but when he kept talking about destroying the world "like his mother wanted him to" that threw me off a bit from him and he didn't seem all that bad. Sure, you destroy the world, then what? you have empty space and thats a vacuum, which means your head is gonna splode. But i've seen some better badguys, hell, i've read them in books (warhammer badguys would tear sephiroth a new one) But atleast we agree upon one thing. Charlies Angels didn't need to be put into our final fantasy (if it isn't broke, don't fix it square!)
Also, i call them square cause i refuse to speak about the bad game company they aquired (play paladin's quest and illusion of gaia and you'll know what i mean, and terranigma just as well)

I never really played Valkryie Profile, but Paladin's Quest, Illusion of Gaia and Terranigma made me not like them. The story line wasn't all the good in any of them, and it didn't hold my interest like many other RPGs do. Though i'm most likely going to buy Valkryie Profile that just came out for the PSP, but in the past, enix didn't do so well for me, but i guess its just an aquired taste that people have. Like how some people like neverwinter nights, and others just can't stand it cause its a dungeons and dragons game (i have friends who don't like it cause its not like Dungeons and Dragons).

lol....i actually play d&d...not just the video games...the dice based game...it's a lot of fun...i didn't like neverwinter nights because of it's gameplay style...never got into those kinds of games...but it looked cool and worked well for as long as i played it...

I play the Pencil and Paper game as well, and i run a game of it as well for some of my friends. But thats the thing with lots of games, the gamestyle of things. I didn't enjoy how Enix made their games and the game play of their said games, and i'll probably buy valkryie profile because my best friend told me it was good, and if i don't like it i'll let him play the game. But with neverwinter nights, its mainly an Action RPG but with tons of Dungeons and Dragon's based stuff added to it. But what made the game great was its online capabilities. You could basically sit down with the tool set and make your own world that expanded to literally thousands of zones, and some of the best(and absolutly worst) free mmorpgs i played was on the neverwinter nights community where they where player made.

yea i seen the movie...i have to say the japanese version rocked...but the english version just sucked balls..i dont know why..but the cgi animes need to stay in the original language so the mouths are in line witht the dialogue..other than that..the movie kicked ass...
but anyways...ghost in the shell kicks ff advent children outta the ballpark..anyone know where i could download an english version of the 2nd 1, or a verion that has the english subs. because i couldnt find it. I could only get the japanese version with no subtitles...and as chris farley put it on snl "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I DONT SPEAK JAPANESE"
peace

The film cinematically and graphically was stunning, the fight scenes just oozed energy but in my opinion thats all that was good about the film.
Most people love it and so do I but I cant help but think that their judgement is clouded by the fact that its a FF7 movie.
I honestly found the main story a bit dire, and the non action scenes dragged a bit, It just didnt have the spark that the game had, after the novelty of seeing my favourite characters brought to life in CGI I felt that I was watching something that yes is FF7 but it just didnt FEEL like FF7! ne1 catch my drift? or am I just mad
.
I honestly felt dissapointed after watching it.

Dont get me wrong I had the game for years and loved it, and I even miss it now I sold it to a mate, but that isnt the point, the point is- most people saying the film is good because its FF7 does'nt make it a good film in itself.
Like the Judge Dredd movie or Chrono Chross anime just because theyre related in some way to the things you like doesnt make them as good.

Enix bought Square after the "Spirits Within" debacle, so get your shit straight. Square-Enix then bought Taito. Final Fantasy started off as a rip-off of Enix's Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior). Enix also has a manga publishing division, and the first two Star Ocean games own your ass. Look these things up before you start spouting off, for chrissake's.
Cloud looks too much like Rod Stewart.

I loved Advent Children. Although I agree that the Rements were getting on my nerves with all the "Mother" crap. I liked the battle sceens, the music was kick ass, the animation was top of the line. I acually downloaded some of the music from that movie.

Advent children was a great movie, but in my opinion it was 7 years to late in the making/release. I love the final fantasy series, but when this was released it was like beating a dead chocobo, all of the closet sephiroth fans came out again. I am more of a kefka fan.

Oh, yeah, nothing like a queer clown to get my motor running. What kind of sociopath likes Kefka? "Wow, you poison entire families and dress like you just left Gay Mardi Gras! Oh, except at the end, when you wear nothing but a towel! You're the best, Kefka!" What the hell is wrong with you?

Try getting some sunlight and cutting back on your sugar intake, I’m sure your homophobic tendencies will wear off by then, breath and remember kefka was a little sprite in the final fantasy series, don’t let his colorful garb get your panties all swampy.
Regards
