| dump a ROM to a GAME GEAR cartridge! |
 |
hello!
i would like to dump the rom found in internet on a cartridge to be played in the real GameGear.
I think that it should be possibile, but i don't know where to start from.
Over the internet is very common to find information on the opposite process (dump a ROM to the PC), but not this one
can anybody help me?
Thanks,

reverse the proceder "spelling" If you think about it, all they do when the dump a cartrage onto there computer is reverse construction. "I can't think of the exact title for it at the moment." Anyways, all you have to do is take what there doing and do it backwards. However your going to need the main board and chip/s thats found in the catrige in order to do this and I don't think those are going to be easy to come by.............

Yeah, first you need an EPROM reader for Game Gear, or at least the specs for one so you could build it yourself. That's a pretty daunting first step, even assuming you're willing to do some soldering and messing with circuit boards. I can't imagine that the process would be worth it, even though it *would* be cool. Here's a much simpler solution to getting GameGear and other ROMs in a portable setting:
