Here in Alabama, college ball is practically a religion. It's discussed, analyzed, and debated within an inch of its life around here.
Temple is no big loss to the Big East, especially since they're getting Loiusville in return. And Notre Dame is prohibited by that exclusive television deal they have worked out with NBC to join any conferences. And they make way too much money off that deal to put it in jeopardy. Besides, if you read between the lines with Notre Dame's recent troubled coaching search, it looks like they've got some rough years ahead. The fact that Urban Meyer snubbed them (his alma mater) to go to Florida demonstrates just how far Notre Dame has slipped in the past few years.
And yes I too hate the Bullshit Computed System (BCS), and am in favor of a playoff. I also think they need to get rid of Preseason poll rankings, as they are based on mainly speculation and recruiting info that may or may not be accurate. Preseason rankings can also be unfairly prejudicial to certain teams that start unranked or ranked too low, as we saw with Auburn and Utah this year. I don't think any polls should be released until after the second or third week of the season. And I think instant replay should be used by every conference, not just in the Big 10. Thank god the SEC is implementing it for next season.

I konw how you feel about the football religion. Here in Columbus, everyone worships the Buckeye like they are gods. Buckeye this Buckeye that......That gets old fast. All you hear around Columbus is everything about the Buckeye 24/7 365.
Notre Dame can do better in a BCS conference. Their basketball team plays in the Big East, I think in the long run they are better off playing in a major conference.
Yes I agree with the Preseason Polls release. The press should come out after the 2nd or 3rd week of the football season. Hell the first two weeks alone half of the schools drop out of the top ten. And than that out of the top 25. Personaly I feel there should be more BCS conferences.
Instant Replay kicks ass. Every conference should be intitled to use it. Now Steve Spurrier is at South Carolina I bet things are going to better in the SEC.
With the AP out of the BCS polls, The NCAA now have no chioce but to go to a playoff. It should start with 12 teams the top four gets byes.

Something on my mind... Omelettes(sp?) are good. Get some mushrooms, black olives, green peppers and ham or sausage in there... ohhhhhhhh. T_T Wish my mom still made them for me. She makes them for my sister then tells me to make my own if I want one. But I am such a horrible cook... I either burn the eggs, or they end up being scrambled before I finish the omelette. Damn it I hate being a teenager.

I have two half-brothers and two half-sisters. Only my youngest half-sister lives with us though, so in that situation I am the oldest. Otherwise I am the middle kid, two older half-brothers and two younger half-sisters.

Ok, got it. I'm the youngest/middle. Two sisters I grew up with. Which makes me the middle. I have 1 half sister and 2 half brothers which makes me the youngest. My youngest sister has a different father, out of the three my mom had.
But my father has a total of 5. But I never met my oldest sister and both of my brothers.
But one day I will.

I never met my oldest half-brother or other half-sister. The half-brother shoved his foster mother down a flight of stairs a while ago annnnnnd I haven't heard anything about him since. Probably a good thing, too, I hear he had some major issues... and considering he never came to my house to make me omelettes, I don't really care that I never met him.
The half-sister I live with is pure evil. She is spoiled, spends over half her day screaming and jumping up and down, and likes to tell me that I cannot have anything. If I open the fridge, BAM! "NO! You can't have anything!". It takes a lot to restrain from knocking her teeth out some days... but I do it. She's only seven, and I'm seventeen, so I am supposed to be lax... and besides, if I hit her, chances are my stepdad would beat the crap out of me. -Gah- Hate it. Highschool is almost over though, that's a plus. And when I am done I will begin my eternal quest to locate someone who will make omelettes for me.

So I take it that you don't really get along with your mother's husband. (It's what I like to call it)

Dave is an interesting one. He's probably my favorite person in the world... most of the time. If anything goes missing though, I am the first one to be blamed. Someone stole his wallet once and he got me out of school and spent about three hours accusing me of taking it, which I didn't. I went to a friend's house that weekend and my ride kinda ran out of gas so I had to stay over an extra day... when I got home my Genesis had been pawned and my computer was gone. He said that it was to make up for the money I stole and that I had spent all the money in his wallet on beer and spent that extra day sobering up. I don't drink at all, non-alcholic beverages exempted, so I was pissed and we didn't talk for about two months. After that we were all set and everything was fine again.

Don't feel bad. My mother married this guy she been dating 20 years before they got married. Believe it or not, he's over 50 years old and NEVER and I mean NEVERED moved out of his parents house. Now him and my mother live in the attic at his parents house. And as old as he is he wears a pocket protector with thick goofy glasses. I hate that man with a passion. He ruined my life.

No, it's not a college, it's a program called Job Corps. The program is for people who dropped out of highschool to help them get there GED, training in certain fields and work experience, but because my school has NO computer program, other than a typing class, I am eligible to go into the program after I finish Highschool. I get my own dorm, live on campus, and get PAID. Plus, once you finish any of their programs they will either help you get into a college or help you find a job, plus, they give you a bit of cash to boot. And while you are there you get money to buy clothing and some you cash... and tickets for free McDonald meals... and passes to get into theaters for free. It's great. Of course there are downsides, if you get into a fight, even if you get hit and do nothing at all, everyone involved is GONE. If you are in your dorm after 7:30 you get booted out and get a warning. After, like, three of those, you are gone. Your classes go from 7:30 till... 5? I think? You need a pass to leave campus... annnnd... you get hit with random drug tests... well, lots of stipulations for staying IN the program, but it pays off. Oh, yeah, driver's ED is also free.

Yeah I know the place. In Dayton there is one that I almost when to. In the 90's that was not the best place to be. Thank god I chose to finish school. But that place is like a low rate prison. I'm too independant for that, and the fact I most likely would of gotin kicked out. And I bet it would of been for something stupid. I miss being a teenager.

It's not so bad up here, but I feel really, REALLY bad for the students there. They get a lot of shit hurled at them for no reason. I was in a car with someone and four of them were walking along the side of the road. He stopped, got out, and started yelling at them for walking on the road... I could understand it if they weren't in the BREAKDOWN lane and on the grass beside the road. It's bad. But I've been there, and the place isn't so bad. Oh, and I said that you get your own dorm, but actually you share a dorm, my mistake. But it's still not so bad, especially when you are someone like me who likes, to some extent, computers and your school had no classes for that.

Thats a public school for you. If the damn President for once spend on education maybe we would have everything in all schools instead of some. I do remember taking a computer class in high school, but it was sooo basic that you could go to a library and learn it in 15 mins. It's sad too see schools closing because of buget issues.
And of that, not having the classes in the school that student need to take. How long are you going to be there?

Job Corps. From what I know that you could be there until your 24. But it takes a year to complete a trade.
I wonder what that money is being spend on. Education in public schools sucks.

The money is sent to the schools, it's up to them to spend it how they please. In recent years a lot of that money has been going into newer security measures. I am a witness to this, as I was enlisted to help our computer administrator (AKA. the guy they ask to do EVERYTHING that the Janitors can't) do some of the stuff. He put up the cameras though, they didn't want me messing with the 'expensive' equipment. But they let me take apart and fiddle with the insides of all the desktops. Go figure.
As for the Job Corps thing, you can take however long you need to finish the program you sign up for. I know a guy who blasted though all three levels of their program in less than a month. He's on staff as one of their computer admins right now. You can only stay on till, like you said, 24, I think it is. When you finish a class you can decide to take another one or be done with the program, but you only get the cash for finishing a program once, so you can't just keep taking classes and collecting oodles of cash.
EDIT: And now for an update on my neverending quest for a frikkin' omelette. http://www.pineapple-girl.com/omelet.htm <--- It's got some pretty good instructions. To bad, yet again, my omelette sucked... I had no Pam so I had to use butter, my pan wasn't hot enough when I put the eggs in, and my pepper grinder thing decided to be evil and dropped in MASSIVE pepper pits... It was horrible. I also had nothing for meat to put in it other than pickeloaf... T_T -Gah- it was so aweful.
