What do you need to convert an image file to an iso file?

Your a little vague there.. can you perhaps give us a little more information in regards to what it might be your talking about? I mean there are reasons to have to convert files.. but without a LOT more detail most of us are just setting here kinda wonderin just what your asking about.

sorry about not being more specific...i want to convert a ps1 .img file into a .iso or .bin file so that it'll run on an emulator how would I go about doing this?
