Keyboard and steadykey support Reply to this Post Post Reply with Quote Edit/Delete Posts Report Post to a Moderator       Go to the top of this page

My problem is I can't get steadykey support to work. I remember years back when playing a fighting game that it was simple to hit 2-8 keys at once and it worked. But, recently when I tried to play again it isn't.

I've been trying to play Last Blade 2 again. I can't throw, use the AB specials, or the type attack with steadykey on or off. It just doesn't work and it seems only 1 key input registers.

I've tried 2 emulators and neither will let me input more than 1 key hit.
old: Mame32k 0.67
and I've tried a new emu...
new:Mame32fx 0.118u5 (Sept 7th 2007)

Mame32k lets you set extra keys. ex, AB, CD, ABC, CDF, etc to one key but I really don't like that option as adding more keys is an inconvenience and awkward for a keyboard player.

Mame32fx doesn't even have that option.

Anyway, I know I used to play last blade2 fine and had no problems at all. Now It's not worth playing because I can't input more than 1 key at a time.

Could anyone offer some help, advice, suggestions? I'm not interested in getting a pc controller however. I just want to play last bld again like I used too. Frown

Many thanks,
~P

--update--

I tried to branch away from Mame32 and tried Nebula to play. Still won't register more than 1 key though.

After some searching around here someone made the comment that "they" changed the way the keyboard works. I don't know what that means but I do know it makes no sense to break something that didn't need fixing. Than again it could just be my computer I've no idea.

OS: Vista -.-...
Processor: Decent enough processor, fairly new even.
Ram: 1gb
Gcard: Nvidia 6 series card up to date
Keyboard/mouse: wireless
