Lasting 1 year isn't too great imo. I've been looking but I guess they're none made like what I want. 4 buttons on the front like that is not enough, there's a ton of pads out there like this, it seems they're all like this now and this is not what I want. The only ones I've found with the 6 front buttons are some old Logitech ones on ebay that aren't made anymore, and there's also a few Sidewinder models, but I have boycotted Microsoft. All that's left is go spend bigger money on a Slikstik, now only if they made a 1p version because 2p one sucks. I remember seeing somewhere something like these as 1p made by capcom, but I forgot what it was.

Logitech does still make a controller that duplicates the Sony PS controller with analog sticks and shoulder buttons; I've got one hooked up to my computer right now. I bought it at Best Buy just last year for under $25. Search their web page and they might still have it in stock.
And, it's made well. I've hammered the hell out of it and it's still going strong, lol.

More like capcom fighter style. With 6 buttons + 2 extra small ones on the front, and at least 2 shoulder buttons. Once I had the near perfect design for me with the 6 equal buttons, but it didn't last very long and that company has gone away since. It was a "Hammerhead FX". Every other pad I've bought since has had uneven buttons even if they were 6 in that way.

I found a pad close to what I was looking for, if not exactly. Simple, six frontal buttons, two on top and NOT Saitek. I bought one on ebay and it finally arrived recently. Took a while since it's from overseas, and that was the only place to get it from here. The next rating, the durability, remains to be seen, but I hope it's not like the saitek ones.

Yeah, but read above. I wanted one with six buttons on the front. These playstation style pads, you can't toss a copy of war of worldcraft without hitting one.

Anyways, this pad I bought. I don't recommend it. It seems like junk to me. And ebay stores are a bunch of scum, there is evidence it was refurbished, not new.

Not to state the obvious, but they aren't made anymore.

I'm not buying a used gamepad from a decade ago. The new ones wear out well enough as it is. And incidentally, this pad I got on egay is my final purchase of the sort there, maybe final at all. Ripoff artists, liars, and info conveniently left out.
