What are the missing files?
Can you post the names of them?

I had a question on the Simpsons, and since there was a thread here, I thought I'd post...

When playing Simpsons in 4 player mode, is there NO way to play Bart or Homer in the player 1 position?

I put in credits for player 1, but the only character I can play is Marge.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm new here.

nah thats not a stupid question at all. If you think back on the actual machine, there were four joysticks each assigned to one of the characters. However, they did release a version to convert machines with only two joysticks. That required them to add a character select screen once you put in your quarters.

*EDIT* it is available here from RN:

If you add that you will be able to select your character, but you lose the four player capabilities. You could always just reassign the joystick buttons in mame itself by hitting tab and assigning the second player (I think Homer was p2) to the controller you have plugged in.
