Thread: How Wii Won |

Interesting article.
I have a Wii and my whole family enjoys playing it.
Its the first video game system that I've ever been able to get my mom to play ever. Its only the second one that my dad and uncle have ever agreed to play since the NES back in the 80's.
I do also have a PlayStation 3, albeit I like my Wii better. All of the games that I'm planning to buy for the PlayStation 3, so far, don't even come out until early next year. I was planning on getting Tekken 6 this December. Its now not coming out until next March.

Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter (with full tag feature)
King of Fighters Real Bout
King of Fighters Real Bout Special
Street Fighter Zero 3 (with full character select in 2 player dramatic battle mode)

I just got it last week. To me the best part of it is that they add new games every week.
I am currently in the 2 week free trial period.
Since it is only $9.95 per month after that I am planning to subscribe.
So in other words I highly suggest subscribing. Just my opinion.

There is a program that lets you play Playstation games on a PC. I think that it is called Bleem!. As far as I know it requires the second player to use the keyboard (or at least the last I knew). I have heard of it before. It may or may not have a different name though. Hope this helps NWBN.

In any event, good luck but it looks like you're not going to convince a whole lot of people here to go to your site. |
With all due respect if you're refering to "a whole lot of people" as the two other forum members which have looked at my site and in turn had an aversion to it due to that it does not directly relate to Roms or video games that does not cause me a great deal of concern. As you know the links section does not carry with it the stipulation of all links therein being Rom or video game related.
As for their disdain towards myself personally I am truly apologetic for whatever I have done or may have done or said to them to have received such insolence. My intentions were initially good. I understand that the two other group members involved in this thread have differing as well as contrary points of view. Just as well I respect their right to disagree.
If assurance through people I know that this is not a scam is what you seek then as I had mentioned earlier just as I believe my condition to be real, my family does, my physician does, and most importantly as far as the speculative acquisition of a link goes Alex believes my condition to be legitimate. Given that you give me no credibilty in this matter I say please ask Alex.
In closing earlier in this thread was only the second time that I had ever reported anyone for anything that they had stated in a thread within an internet forum. I have been conversing in forums for 3 years so far. The first time involved a second party threatening to do physical harm to me 2 1/2 years ago. The only reason for this most recent time was that I felt as though such disregard for my life should at least be brought to the attention of a moderator whom was not involved in the discussion prior.

I was under the impression for whatever reason that the cruel natured responses in this thread were said purely out of spite. That's why I had copied and pasted some of the more compassionate responses to my condition from e-mode as well as myspace. My reasoning for saying "Sorry that you feel that way" was intended as a response to the some of the cruel things that were being mentioned to me.
The reason my site has the initials psp is to abbreviate Profit Share Plan.
If I had intentionally tried to want my site to seem as though it were about the Playstation Portable it would have included been an upper case "PSP" in the site title. I do apologize for any misconception that I had unwillingly created,
Another reason for my response "Sorry that you feel that way" was taking into cosideration other things along the lines of "I hope you die" that were being said to me. It was beginning to seem as if the other members posting in this thread were trying to start an argument.
I did not want to reduced to taking part in a petty argument so that was my sole response for that reason.
I believe that I have systemic lupus. Alex believes that I have systemic
lupus. My doctors and family believe that I have systemic lupus. My reason for creating the second account was that no one else in this thread was being very supportive. This thread represents the first time ever that I had gotten an uncompassionate response to coming forward with the details of my condition.
Otherwise the internet has been a type of safe haven for me. Prior to coming forward about my condition on e-mode.com several months ago I could make posts on internet forums as if I could walk and was a physically able young adult. No one had any way to know how sick I was. When I fiinally had come forward about my condition in a religious group on e-mode.com I was suprised that people were being supportive rather than cruel (all of them). The same with on myspace.com forums.
When Alex had been supportice after I had told him on MSN Messenger I was almost sure that it would be okay to state my condition as well as my need for funding to purchase more Coumadin. I was wrong. I was very wrong. You have a good point that I am partially at fault. One point that I would like to make is that stating "Sorry that you feel that way" does suffice far better than merely trading insults. Which would have gotten me nowhere.
There is an area of my site where site visitors can donate money to me
(to help my cause) which is of course to afford the medicine that I need. Everyone of the banner ads on my site are for affiliate programs that I am a member of as I had stated before. Once again the potential of my site being placed into the links section is of course Alex's choice.
As I had mentioned before it was requested of him as an act of charity the next time that he updates the site.
Thank you for saying that if I am "...genuinely sick.." that I have your sympathy. Your reply is the exact type of frank as well as non-insulting response that I had hoped to get at least once when I had originally started this thread.

It seems as though my good intentions to gather support have proved nearly futile. HitokiriX, I will take your advice to wait until Alex signs in and in turn reads my e-mail requesting a link. Despite this thread having unfortunately turned into hate mongering towards myself I thought that I would copy and paste some of the far more supportive posts and e-mails & posts people have been sending me on the myspace.com &
e-mode.com. I only wish that this particular thread had shared the same humane sentiment rather than such cruel intentions for the most part:

Since Alex has seemed to be a farily good guy to me in the past I hope and pray that he will agree to add the link out of charity. I hadn't expected a "Omg that poor poor fellow lets all help him!" type of thing. While at the same time I was not expecting anyone to miscontrue my site as being about the Playstation Portable (given that I had explained the content earlier in this form) nor had I expected to have to continually explain that my site has site rather than merely only advertisements more than once.
I had hoped that more of the people that chose to reply would have realized the gravity of the situation. Or if they did that even if they care very little for the most part whether I live or die that they would insist that my site has content of no importance to anyone. Perhaps I had expected more support as well as compassion from the fellow members of this forum than I should have.
You're correct of course in that it is up to Alex whether or not he agrees that my life is worth living enough to place the link to my site.
In my opinion I feel as though that it is. I had hoped for some sort of middle ground in regards to understanding. Perhaps that was too much to hope for.

As I had mentioned before please scroll down the site to read information regarding the psp. There are two links to Romnation.net that I had first asked to webmaster permission before placing on my site.
HitokiriX,
You're correct someone being compassinate towards me and my life threatening condition seems to go against the grain of the usual fare of this thread. I fail to see how someone mentioning that they would hate to see me die while still fairly young constitutes "kissing my butt". I hate to say it but most of I am getting as feedback otherwise seems to be cruel feedback rather than support.
I would ask Alex on MSN instant messenger for a Link in the links section. Unfortunately though he hasn't been on over the past several weeks whenever I've logged in. I have only ever been able to talk with him twice.
Maybe you're right. Maybe I deserve to die for having a sight that a handful of people in an internet forum feel is worthtless. Regardless of what low opinions anyone here has regarding me or my site I would like to live.
I think nearly everyone replying to me here has the wrong idea of what I am asking. I am asking for a link for charity sake. To ensure the continuation of my life from October on. (see my first post in this thread for full details of my situation) I am not insisting that I have a extremely interesting site. The profit share plan is just a marketing program. I didn't even invent it Takgele did. I had only improved it. I apologize if I had given the impression that my site was about the Playstation Portable (P.S.P.)
Consider this: If Alex agrees to place a link to my site in the links section the next time that he updates the site you could always boycott it.
Especially the Revenue Science ads that I am getting paid for per click.
I mean I want to live but if you prefer the contrary just boycott the speculative link. After all maybe you'll be successful with you reaching your obvious goal and then in turn I would die not long after October of this year.

I advise buying Killer Instinct Gold for the Nintendo 64 at least to have a backup version of a game in the Killer Instinct series.
That way you wouldn't be risking loosing your only version if your computer crashes. Just my opinion.
I had over 50 roms downloaded via a dial-up internet connection in early 2004.
My computer crashed and for lack of working backup copies I had to spend several weeks downloading them once again.

The one that I have is for lack of funding to afford a top level domain.
All of the ads below the site content are for affiliate programs that I am a member of in which I get a certain percentage of any sales through those sites. Stating my story on my site would not convince people to send me donations. I have already tried that earlier. My site is PayPal verified so PayPal at least condones it. The concept behind it is to advertise PayPal as a verified PayPal advertising site. I do not have any Roms that Romnation.net doesn't have which would make converting it to a rom download site futile. Thank you for your suggestions.

GoblinKing,
I am sorry that you feel that way. My site requires that the person reading it scroll down it in order to read the information on it. There are sponsored links on the far right due to that I am unable to afford an ad free site.
Seith,
Thank you for putting a link to my website on yours. Every little bit of aide does help. Also thank you for saying that you think that I deserve to live a long life. I wish that everyone here shared the same opinion in that matter.

I was wandering how the best way to get a link to my site on the Romnation.net home page Links section. I have conversed with Alex
( anile 8 ) your webmaster (via MSN Messenger) regarding a potential link to my website being placed in the affiliates section. Despite that my site has 2 links to Romnation.net as well as periodic video game related links it does not qualify as an affiliate. My site is: (http://www.psp.rulestheweb.com). I had inquired with Alex that he please place a link to my site in the Links section the next time that he updates Romnation.net Recently he has not been logged in to MSN Messenger at any point in the last several weeks whenever I had logged in.
Despite that it will probably only get me ridicule from some of the others that use this forum I have decided to mention why I am in dire need of visitors to my site. Two years ago I had become paralyzed from the rib cage downward due to a hospital mistake.
I had also learned at that point that I have a condition called systemic lupus. Systemic Lupus is an auto-immune disease. If I don't take my medicine a blood thinner called Coumadin my blood will clot. For lack of Coumadin I would inevitably have a blood clot oriented stroke.
I already did have one 2 years ago before I was first given Coumadin. I was fortunate that time that I had not died. I only have enough funding left to afford Coumadin until this October.
Luckily Revenue Science has agreed to run pay per click ads on my site in which I get paid with each click. Hopefully Alex will agree to add a link to my site to the Links section. I do not doubt that if this comes to be that I will be able to afford my medicine Coumadin when I run out of funding to purchase more this October. I am hoping that Alex has the compassion in his heart to come to my assistance. I don't mean to sound overly dramatic. This is my only chance to assure the continuation of my life. I am only 25 currently and I hope to live to be at least 30.

I apologize sonicBoom if I have broken a written or unwritten rule of this forum. My intention was to get my afiliate application to Anile8 as well as the information that I had uprgraded to a .com top level domain as he had advised as a requirement for getting my site put in the affiliate section.
