 Thread: is it possible for the DS to play roms? |

You can buy an EEPROM reader off the internet that will allow you to store and play downloaded GBA roms on your DS. However they are highly illegal and very expensive, around $100, and you usually have to buy them from somewhere in Asia (like Hong Kong).

The only thing that makes me skeptical about the Wii is the controller. IF it works like it should, and I'm not really sure it will, it will revolutionize the console gaming market and bury XBOX and PS3. If it doesn't work, you can chalk up another failed Nintendo console. But remember, that Nintendo are the same geniuses that brought us the Power Glove, and we all know how well that worked out.
E3 got everybody excited about the controller because it showed all these people demoing games with it and they were working perfectly, but if I'm not mistaken all the people doing the demos were not actually using the Wii, but developer's platforms which seems kind of suspect to me.
But for $200 or less, I'll roll the dice.

I live out in the middle of nowhere now and can only get internet at my house through DSL, and since I don't wanna pay for a useless land line, I can only get on the internet when I'm at work.
Thought I'd come by and see how the place is doing.

Phantasy Star 3 - favorite RPG
Red Alert 2 favorite RTS
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night favorite side-scroller
Resident Evil 4 - Favorite Survival Horror game
Soul Calibur 3 - favorite fighting game
Dynasty Warriors 5 - favorite beat-em-up

Sony and Microsoft have both fucked up in the console wars and are gonna let Nintendo step back in and claim the number one spot. Especially if they come out with the Wii at $200 or less. That Red Steel game is gonna be the new Halo for Nintendo.

I don't think Run and Gun 2 works yet with MAME. The developers have yet to get the rom to work with the program.

What did you expect. They rushed the fucking thing into production so they could beat out Sony. Mistake. Anybody remember the Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Genesis, or TG-16? All consoles rushed out on the market before their primary competition. All crushed by the competition a few months later.

I think I still have my Genesis and SNES somewhere. And I still have my Sega Saturn somewhere, but the internal memory chip on it is shot.
