nah... you'll be alright fella. just make sure you own the game you download. then it is legal. for instance, i own 1025 arcade games and i've downloaded 995 roms so far...

i've got dragon's lair on dvd. i tried to play it with the remote, but the response was too slow for it to have a decent interactive experience. not necessarily a fault of the dvd, because i was able to play it on my playstation2 with the gamepad with considerable ease. if you're thinking of buying a copy, i would first assess how rapid your dvd's remote controller response is.

have you set up the game for gamepad use? right click the game's name in the menu and scroll down to properties for premier soccer
the properties box will appear- click the controllers tab
tick the the box that says enable joystick input
give that a go
for setting up the buttons, you press enter on up. then you press up on the joypad and the same for the rest.

It's been a while since I've gone searching randomly for mame roms.
I've had a bit of idle time recently and found a new weirdo game.
No surprise that it comes from Japan!

Basically, this game is a side scrolling shoot 'em up, but the outstanding feature of this game is that the character you control's weapon is a blowdryer attached to his head!
It shoots out deadly balls of hair at the oncoming enemy!
That will thwart those dudes with waffles for wings!
wOOt!
Note that the hero of the story has fans for feet, allowing him to defy gravity!

OK. You already know that you are going to face a boss character soon enough.
Here he is! As soon as you thrust upon the enemy those hairballs of might, he loses it, and the seed in his brain germinates, and then a pinkish/purple clovered tree springs from out of the inside his skull.
Watch out for those deadly poisonous clovers.

There is something to be said for psychology. If you examine this next picture, some Freudian concepts start to appear. What does this say about the programmers? A hairdryer on top of one's head ready to explode, a volcano erupting, and a green alien cross between a frog and a duck with a cavity ridden head, flatbagging!
