meh, the movie was pretty good. the only thing I COULD not stand was the "NOOOOOO!!!!" at the end... holy crap on a stick was that bad acting(not to say that the acting was very good to being with).

This isn't meant to be aimed at anyone at all, just a general comment on the board in general. Maybe it makes me a chickenshit, but I'd rather stay out of the line of fire entirely if possible...
I got added as a mod originally b/c I was interested in helping out around here. I'm still willing to do that if needed, but given my infrequent posts I'm certainly more than happy to pass the baton on to someone else. I have no interest in power for it's own sake; just let me know where I'm needed and I'll try to pitch in. Hopefully all of the headbutting can be resolved, maybe some new guidelines are needed? |
Well said =P Another shadow worker XD. I would love it if you stayed and helped out whenever and wherever you can. You've always been someone helpful and was a great addition to the forums. I agree, the outbreak of even more hostility is the main reason to why I made this thread. Hopefully now that the fire's died down a bit there'd be less tension.
Yea, we really need some fresh topics that rock =O
I do hope that people choose to stay and help reconstruct a new RN community.

errr... Just to clarify a few misconceptions about me. I'm still a supermod here, I can still add mods and stuff, the only thing I can't do is the banning. I visit here about twice a week, usually just a quick check in generals. Lurk abit, don't post because I don't have anything to say. So yea, it's not like I went super evil of got demodded by anile or anything, things just came up for me. Even as we speak I should be studying for my damn Chem Mid-Terms. That, and there's not alot of new threads being made =P. Oh well, I'm sure everything is slowly moving down the right tracks... just need to give it a little more time for some new members to join xD!

I agree with the new appointing thing, and it's also crossed my mind, but in our current situation we don't really have alot of people to choose from... and if it's as it stands and we keep losing more member than we can possibly gain back we wouldn't have the lack on mods as a issue to deal with.
But yes, Grey I understand that you have to do alot of this place, but I must ask you to you know, try to handle the stupid questions with more care, I know that's hard because of the mess but please just try till we get some more sufficent helping hands.
Don't worry gunner, it's just a matter of time till RN gets back up. It's been through worse.

Grey, just to clear a few things up, I don't have anything against you nor do I hold any grudges or anything. To this point, I still don't. I don't want a shift of power, nor do I want to set up some sort weird group of rebels. You have been one of the most helpful people on the forum and you contribute alot to the forums. Seriously, you've been doing a great job at keeping things at bay. Sometimes you can maybe lower atitude against one hit wonders asking stupid question, but other than that yer just a regular poster. Too valuable to lose for not just the forum but also to the site. True I only come visit once in a blue moon, sometimes I delete a thread, sometimes I move a thing. Nothing too extreme or too chaotic. I'll admit, I visit once in awhile, so I don't have a real sense of what content appropriate according to the users and what not so I tend not to touch it. What I've posted was more than attack at our weaken moderation group, but an attack to all the posters too. To say that I was more, better, held higher status would be a blantent lie. I don't wish to fight with you, nor do I have the will to do so.
Now that's all said and done. If you find me nothing more than a problem to the moderation staff, ask anile to remove me. I won't hold it against you if you did. It's a basis of what we can all do to make this place better, not tear it apart.

Seriously, the Forums are slowly going down the drain unless order is maintained. not the crappy overpower abused kinda order, but the fair justified kinda order. The moderation of the forums are suppose to do that, maintain a sense of order and a way of relying communication to the members to see how things can be done for the better. We, as the moderation staff, should be more helpful and less hostile against the other members, even the one hit wonders. We are helpers and the the ropes that keep the members in line... but we are NOT the enforcers that rule over them.
To stop the declination of things, members will need to start being nice too. It's great that some of you have this inner circle here and what not... but... get a grip, the forums need to expand memebers-wise to flurish. This way there could be more content, more post, more everything.
That or maybe I'm just getting old and senile
