Thread: PS3 is PC, a console, its your choice!... |

IGN:
PlayStation head-honcho Ken Kutaragi has been making a concerted effort lately to let people know the PlayStation 3 is intended to be a computer and not just a game system. Adding further leverage to this argument are comments Kutaragi made recently in an interview with Japanese newspaper Nikkei BP.
According to GamerNode, Kutaragi hinted at the PlayStation 3 being offered on a built-to-order basis, as many PCs are.
"As the PlayStation 3 is a computer, we might even offer it on a built-to-order basis, customized to the needs of each and every user," Kutaragi is quoted as saying. "The hardware components have been designed in a modularized format with this possibility in mind."
When the PS3 launches this November, it will be available with a 20GB hard drive for $499 or a 60GB hard drive for $599. As an example of built-to-order possibilities, Kutaragi indicated that larger 120GB hard drives could be available as early as next year.
- Hmmm, 60gb, 120gb - im thinking ok right, but even that amount i can't install a game as blu-rays are up to 200gb, so like wots the point? <shrugs> LOL

hmmm its gonna be a while before we see any decent performance outta these 3d games as they take up far too much processing power under emulation....
I've given up on MAME, just wait for the latter arcade games to appear on next-gen consoles; Daytona, Outrun coast-2-coast, VTennis 3 etc

So, Gens is better!!!
And since "Gens+" is a better version of Gens, GENS+ IS EVEN BETTER!!!

So, do u need to unzip Sega-CD games to play?

This topic has been covered b4 here Suvodip... Once again, It'll take at least 4-6ghz or maybe more to fully run Tekken 3 at full speed - so far its not possible due to current technologies - why not just emulate PS1 version that'll run no probs and got a load of extra stuff and cd quality sounds than the arcades anyway...
