You've got my vote for what it's worth. This site got me into emulation and 3000+ mame roms ,countless snes, megadrive (yes I'm British) and nes roms later I'm still loving it

The [!] means best dump. The best working copy available. J/E/U Are as other people have said as far as I am aware. When I'm downloading snes/megadrive etc roms I always go for U! as they are usually the best (least likley to crash) roms to use. Hope this helps

Mine is the X-Bomber from the 80's Japanese puppet scifi show Star Fleet (in UK) also known as The Thallian space wars or X Bomber in Japan!! I loved that show when I was a kid

How can I get MAME running on my XBOX??? Is it possible?? Burn files to CD or DVD? I presume the XBOX has to be chipped to do this??

Check the rom directory paths. If that's correct choose 'refresh rom list' from the menu. Hope this helps

Yeah but they'll still come out of it all smelling of roses. Sony, no matter what always seems to win. When the DCast came out it was much better than anything around and if memory serves me right was more 'powerful' than the PS2. Should have beaten the PS2 to a pulp, Online gaming without any fuss, arcade quality games, poss the best beat em up ever on a home console (Soul Calibur 2). Damn you Sony hope you go bankrupt!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only held that grudge since 2001 heh heh heh!

You need the neo geo bios file in your roms directory to get this working. I'm guessing this is what you are missing so check out the following link http://users.acn.gr/lagakis/bk/files.htm 
If this doesn't work after you do this then let us know and I'll try to help if I can.

I use ver .111 of MAME32 and get most of my roms from here or retro rom. 99% of the time my games work. Only prob was when upgrading from .9 I had to get a lot of new rom sets as the old ones wouldn't work anymore.

I had problems with that file. You're better off with the proper MAME file. Here's a link

I'm using this one and it works fine. Unzip as before and away you go. I'm not sure if it goes in the roms directory or just where your mame files are. Also download the history.dat file. I gives a MAWS style report including tips and secrets and some special moves in fighting games like killer instinct etc. Even if you don't have the game downloaded you can still view the info and i've found a few classics this way. Hope this works if not let me know and I'll try and help again if I can.
