Nope, your questions were indirect put-downs, not legitimate. Heck, your questions were based on invalid points. I didn't dodge around anything, I posted exactly what I meant. My intention was to find out what was so special about ESA ROMs that made them effectively "more illegal".
The question was answered by the four people who posted before you. Your post was nothing but drivvel and put-downs. Hence, you're an ass.

No, you weren't. You were pissy and thought these forums would be a place to vent. |
You must not know how to read. There was nothing pissy about my post. I was simply questioning the whole ESA thing, which I hadn't seen fully explained. Since I felt like there should be more explanation than "you can't download ESA ROMs", I asked the questions. You're the one who made it nasty, not me.
Only a real moron would think my original post was pissy. It was polite, to the point, and clear.

No, it isn't and that has been well explained to you over the course of this thread. If you still don't understand the point, then I doubt you ever will. |
What are you on about now? I don't recall arguing anything, so why you would claim that I don't understand is just as weird as the ESA thing itself is. I understand fully, thanks to the four posters that went before you, but that doesn't mean that it's right or that it makes sense realistically. I understand what they're saying, and have understood since their original answers to my question, but as I said, that doesn't mean that the law itself makes sense.
You don't think it's weird? Well, that just means you're as bad as the law is.

No, a flame is basically any insult. You started the flames. I only responded in kind. I fire back when fired upon. That's just the way things go.

Oh, and your implications that I want Mario or Donkey Kong games also shows your ignorance. I was actually looking for the NES version of Final Fantasy III (which was never released in the United States or in English, but that I have a patch for) as well as the original SNES versions of Final Fantasy IV and V (which also weren't released here, at least not on the SNES). I was also slightly interested in the GameBoy installments (Adventure, Legend, Legend II, and Legend III); I don't have the money for a GameBoy and SuperGameBoy and I can't stand playing on the tiny screen anyway (I'm used to my huge television screen, the small stuff gives me a headache).
So you can take your Mario games and stick those suckers right up your ass. Your immaturity rivals that of the average GameFAQs poster (which is to say you're not mature in the least).
To those who answered my questions politely, I thank you. dib, you can kiss my ass you piece of monkey crap.

dib, you're an ass. My questions were perfectly legitimate. I was polite and to the point, only wondering because it seems weird to claim that certain ROMs are "more illegal" than others (which is what this whole ESA thing does), and you come here with flames? Buzz off, shitstain.

Okay, first and foremost, I thought that by law, pretty much all ROMs are considered illegal. Yet you only ban ROMs on this ESA list. I'm not understanding the logic here. So could someone explain what is going on regarding the law itself versus the ESA? Are titles from the ESA the only ones companies care about or something? Just wanted to know.
Aside from that, I have a comment regarding the banned ROMs. Pretty much all the titles anyone is interested in downloading are now banned here. On top of that, you still list the ROMs, but then say it's banned if you click on it. Number one, what's the point in having a ROM site when the biggest ROMs are all banned? Number two, why bother even listing the banned ROMs as opposed to removing the titles altogether?
Anyway, I'm just curious as to all that.

I know what this forum is for, but I gotta be honest. My nominee wins hands down.
I nominate President George W. Bush.

Doh! I forgot the rule about no bumping; this is the only forum I've been to that doesn't allow it, so it's hard to keep everything straight, especially when I need help so badly. Yet I can't seem to find the delete button. Is deleting your own posts disabled?

Kinda hot, although it's sad to see that she's gotten implants. That almost seems like a requirement to get in that magazine anymore, which really sucks because breasts implants rarely look good. She's still mildly hot, though. I'd give her an 85.
I would rather her shave herself, though. Hair down there just ain't cool.

Does anyone know where I could download music for this game? THere's no stateside release at all for the OST (and I can't read Japanese anyway). I've tried finding it all over but without any success. Can anyone here tell me where to download the music or how I might be able to pull it off the game itself? (I'd prefer to download the music.)

What's an IRC search?
Look, I don't wanna offend anyone, but I also have a family and can't spend money on things I don't get value out of. Grey, if you were to offer pay-per-download, that would definitely be different.
Give people an option. Those who wanna download lots can choose to subscribe, those who want maybe one per year pay for a single download, like maybe $1, or $1 per 100 whole MB download for single games (which would make the one in question $3 as it's 390MB. Ever consider that?

Guess I'm screwed, then, because I don't have one of those nor do I have the money for that. I don't consider paying $10 for one 11-year-old game a very good deal. I don't download that many of the "large" games because I don't like the disk space they take up. In fact, as far as I know, that's the only game of the sort I want right now. I don't download enough games to make it worth the $10. (I'm not one of those types trying to get hundreds of games on my computer, I mainly only download games I CAN'T otherwise play that I'm interested in.)
If there were a cheaper pay-per-download fee option, that I could probably work with, but not a subscription. Is there a chance of something like that coming about?

Anyone know where I can get "Akumajo Dracula X: Chin no Rondo" for the PC-Engine: Turbo Duo? I looked, but this site doesn't have it, at least not yet. It's one of the most popular games of the Castlevania series, though, so there has to be some place to get the ROM for it. Anyone know?
There is a "demo" version and a "remix" version on this web site, but not the actual ROM. Or is there more to those ROMs?

I was so hopeful. Unfortunately, that's not the one. That's the director's cut dinky soundtrack. I'm looking, specifically, for the game music. The CDs are Star Ocean Till The End Of Time Soundtrack Vol. 1 and Vol. 2. Those are the ones with the game music on them.
I don't suppose you could help with that?

Anyone know where I can download the soundtrack? You see, I live in America, and the soundtrack is not out over here (and probably never will be). In addition, it can't be ripped to PSF2 (I already asked) and importing is not a viable option (there are two soundtracks thanks to those money-grubbing bastards, and each one costs almost as much as the game itself, and I'm poor). I tried looking, but I can't find anything. Even the P2P networks have nothing from this game.
Help? Anyone got the CD willing to put it all up for download? I have a cable connection if that makes any difference. I want this music so bad.

Thread: VisualBoyAdvance problems... |

I used to use BGB, but it doesn't support any remotely advanced controllers. I have a top-of-the-line controller, the Logitech Dual Action (looks identical to a PS2 controller), but it won't work with BGB. All those little drop-down boxes with which you assign keys, no matter what I put them on, nothing works.
What I really don't like, though, is that so many emulators only support the analog stick. I HATE THAT THING. Those things are so crappy I can't stand them. Unfortunately, both Gens and VB force you to use the analog stick.

I got the emulator finally, but for some reason, during Game Boy Color games it'll only run at 75% anytime I start pressing buttons. I've done absolutely everything possible to try and speed it up, but nothing works. I have a very fast computer, so that can't be the problem. Also, Game Boy Advance games seem to work mostly fine except for some bad sound emulation.
This emulator really sucks. Is there any way to get it working right for Game Boy Color games? If not, what's the top emulator out there?

Thread: Eternal Life or Death? |

I would pick eternal life, but only if I could "allow myself to die" later. I would love living forever, but once I was the final person, I wouldn't like it so much anymore prolly.
Maybe.
I wish I could live forever. Or maybe Highlander style even. I would like to be like Althena in the Lunar series, able to give up my immortality if I so choose, but AT LEAST having the choice.

Mainly what OS you're using. If it's earlier than Windows XP and you have any other games beginning with "Secret", file naming is definitely the problem.

Not sure about that one. I'm not sure where the get their ideas of which games are signature games. Top Gun and Doom certainly don't belong on the list. Ah well.
Who cares, really? You can find those ROMs elsewhere easily enough.
